DECLARATION OF WARRANTY
This Declaration of Warranty pertains exclusively to deficiencies caused by material-faults or production-faults. Damages caused by repairs or alterations of the watch by anyone other than the Grundstof Watch Company service center are not covered by this warranty. Your watch is under warranty for a period of 1 year. The warranty period begins from the date of purchase of your watch. During the warranty period the watch movement, hands and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. These will be repaired or the watch will be replaced, at the sole discretion of Grundstof Watch, free of charge, if the watch proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.
It is necessary to enclose the original sales receipt with the date of sale for warranty service. For the utilization of the warranty please send the watch to our service center. The costs for sending the watch to the service center are to be paid by the buyer. The costs for sending back the watch are the responsibility of the service center. For shipping outside of Asia there will be a flat rate charge of USD10.00. This amount must be included with the return of the watch. We do not assume del credere liability for the loss of the watch during transportation, as far as we can prove that the package was correctly surrendered to the common carrier.
If the problem you are having with your watch is not covered by our warranty, or if your warranty has expired, the service and repair charges are as follows:
- USD30.00 for the repair of all components not covered under warranty; this includes the return shipping and handling fee.
- USD20.00 for battery replacement; this includes return shipping and handling fee.
The Manufacturer’s Warranty Does Not Cover:
- Battery, case, crystal, strap and buckle or bracelet, stem and/or crown.
- Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents, or normal wear and tear.
- Water damage due to negligence.
- Repairs if the watch was not originally purchased from authorized retailer.
Shipment of watches for repair should be authorized by Grundstof Watch Service Center beforehand. The service center will evaluate beforehand if the watch problems are covered by our warranty. An estimation of costs will be provided for repair out of warranty terms.
